It is an artificial intelligence technology capable of recreating human action through video and audio content designed to replicate a person's voice and actions. This replica is then used to relay specific messages from the creator, using the technologies of "face-swapping" and "voice-to-text." Its concept title derives from combining the term "deep learning" and the word "fake." It is currently in an innovative global race, with corporations and local technological designers, creators, and entrepreneurs competing to be the first major competitor in its market. 

By shattering the trust we place in what we see and hear, artificial intelligence technologies used in ‘Deep Fake’ videos have the potential to alter the truth. This makes what we understand as "real" questionable. Since its first appearance on the social sharing website 'Reddit,' awareness of its existence has grown significantly, both in the private technological sector and within the public sphere. In a contemporary world where video has been crucial to the medium's intellectual development as a transmitter of messages, its rapid growth in interest and development has led lawmakers and thinkers to fear its future as the authority of video slips away. Today, specific approaches are emerging around these new technological innovations, with very little regulation and without safeguards for our rights to "valid" content. Privacy laws that prevent the invasion of privacy and intellectual property by external parties are being abused through the creation of these "fake" videos, and the legislative statutes put in place to regulate this negative growth are not working…
